After a difficult start to the new Championship season, the international break may have come at a good time for Chris Wilder and his Middlesbrough side.
In their 10 games so far, they have shown a glimpse of positivity, but the reality is that they only managed to accumulate 10 points in their first 10 games.
It’s a points tally that leaves Boro in the relegation places, but the close and competitive nature of this season’s start means they are just five points from the play-off spots.
Wilder will look to use this two-week break to restore confidence to his side ahead of a relatively friendly series of games in October.

Isaiah Jones may not have had the best start to this new campaign but once confidence is restored he will wreak havoc again.
There are plenty of central defense options on this page, with Paddy McNair and Darragh Lenihan being excellent options missed out.
However, Anfernee Dijksteel’s progressive skills make it difficult to ignore him as an option here, while Fry has been a consistent performer at Riverside Stadium for quite some time.
On the left, Matt Clarke is another progressive defender who has the physical abilities and ballplaying skills required.
Perhaps Massimo Luongo could join after a little longer at the club but Jonny Howson’s experience and expertise make him an attractive option.
Matt Crooks and Riley McGree are both good athletes with smart brains and both are expected to be successful over the course of the season.
Up front, Rodrigo Muniz has been a nuisance so far, causing problems with his physicality and ability to connect the game, while Duncan Watmore’s pace and ability to sign defenders make him an ideal partner.
