On Thursday, September 22, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published official updated numbers of combat casualties inflicted on Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of the war.

The number of Russian soldiers killed by Ukrainian forces now stands at 55,510 after another 400 soldiers were reportedly killed.
In addition, Ukrainian forces allegedly destroyed 9 other Russian tanks, resulting in a total of 2236 tanks destroyed since the start of the Ukraine-Russia war.
Ukraine also reported the destruction of nine Russian UAVs, an artillery system and 28 armored personnel carriers.
According to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia continues to focus its efforts on attempts to completely occupy the Donetsk region, organize defense and preserve the captured areas, and also tries to disrupt the active actions of the defense forces in certain directions. It fires on our positions along the line of contact, takes measures to redeploy its troops and conducts constant aerial reconnaissance.
In the last 24 hours, Russia has launched 8 missile and 16 air strikes, fired 115 anti-aircraft missiles at military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of warfare.
As a result of attacks by Russian troops, the infrastructure of more than 40 settlements was damaged. In particular, these are Siversk, Maryinka, Vesele, Neskuchne, Yehorivka, Bezymenne, Bilohirka, Myrolyubivka and Visokopillya.
In support of the actions of land groups, the Air Force of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out 41 strikes on enemy positions.
It was confirmed that 21 concentration areas of manpower and military equipment of Russia, four fortresses and 15 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed.
Missile troops and artillery inflicted fire damage on 24 enemy objects in the past day. In particular, for four checkpoints of different levels, four concentration areas for personnel, weapons and military equipment, seven warehouses for ammunition and fuel and oil materials, warehouses, four air defense facilities and artillery fell on the affected area.
The news comes after Ukraine’s Defense Ministry announced Wednesday, April 21.
