Human performance company, Momentous announces Series A

Park City – Momentous, a leading human performance company focused on supplements and nutrition, today announced its $6.5 million Series A round led by DSM Venturing. Series A follows last year’s merger with Amp Human and the partnership announced in April with Andrew Huberman, who will serve as the brand’s scientific advisor.

The funds will be used to support the launch of new products and technological developments to be launched later this year, supported largely by a strategic partnership with DSM-backed personalized nutrition company and brand incubator Hologram Sciences.

“At its core, Momentous’ mission was to provide best-in-class products for high-performing users in an industry that is often diluted and difficult to navigate as a consumer,” said Jeff Byers, CEO of Momentous. “Over time we have achieved this by developing products with some of the brightest minds from various disciplines in the field of human performance. That’s why we’ve earned the trust of over 200 professional sports franchises and collegiate athletic programs to energize and replenish their athletes, as well as the US military, which has selected Momentous with eight contracts to assist in the development of high-performance solutions centered on the brave men and women who protect our country. At this stage of our growth, we are excited to join forces with Hologram Sciences and DSM Venturing to take the brand to new heights and revolutionize our holistic approach to wellness in the future.”

The partnership resulted in DSM Venturing leading the round, adding to the impressive roster of Momentous athlete investors to support the development of advanced personalized nutrition solutions and technologies for customers leading high-performance lifestyles.

“We are pleased to announce our exclusive partnership with Momentous as they continue to expand to the forefront of human performance,” said Ian Brady, CEO of Hologram Sciences. “This partnership is Hologram’s third personalized nutrition initiative and sets the stage for exciting innovations that leverage our personalized nutrition solutions, evidence-based supplementation, pioneering technology and habit-building techniques to support the achievement of high-performing lives in sport and leisure. “

DSM Venturing is the venture capital arm of DSM, the global, purposeful leader in health, nutrition and life sciences.
