NEW DELHI: To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda opened an exhibition on various aspects of his life from childhood to his appointment as the nation’s leader.
Nadda also started a blood donation camp organized at the BJP headquarters. The party also holds similar exhibitions and campaigns in other states.
Speaking to media representatives, Nadda said, “We all know that Prime Minister Narender Modi’s life is dedicated to serving people and that is why we have decided to celebrate his birthday as Sewa Pakhwada.”
“Our millions of workers have organized blood donation camps and free health check camps and spend their days caring for and helping patients in hospitals. Cleanliness campaigns are also being carried out across the country. An exhibition showing everything about PM Modi from his childhood adventures to his political career and various policies he put in place during the Covid period including his trips abroad,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi, who celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday, has a busy schedule for the day as various events are planned.
PM Modi released wild cheetahs – which were extinct in India – in Kuno National Park today. Cheetahs brought from Namibia are being introduced to India as part of Project Cheetah, the world’s first intercontinental translocation project for large wild carnivores. Of the eight cheetahs, there are five female cheetahs and three male cheetahs.
To celebrate PM Modi’s birthday, BJP launches a 21-day “Seva and Samarpan” campaign.
BJP Secretary-General and MP Arun Singh said the party will dedicate the prime minister’s birthday to the welfare of the poor in the form of a “Seva Pakhwada”. “The celebration will take place in three categories. First, Sewa, where health camps, blood donation camps, vaccination centers, etc. are located. Our staff will be at booths in these camps to help people get their booster dose and health screenings done,” he said.
“PM Modi’s vision of a tuberculosis-free India by 2025 will also be included. Our leaders and staff will adopt a patient for a year and routinely assess their health and needs,” Singh added.
The party will also do a cleanup and plant trees on the occasion.
“A cleanliness campaign is being carried out. PM Modi always focuses on cleanliness, so many cleanliness campaigns are carried out. Also, we will plant 10,000 peepal trees at our booths because peepal trees are a great source of oxygen,” he said.
