7.20 pm: Michael Smith is aiming to reach a third PDC World Championship final this evening after missing out on the title in 2019 (to van Gerwen) and 2022 (to Peter Wright).
This time, Englishman Smith arrives at Alli Bali as a major champion after winning the Grand Slam in November.
7.05 pm: Gabriel Clemens is the first German player in history to reach this stage of the tournament.
The 39-year-old beat William O’Connor 3-0 in his opening tie, before seeing off Jim Williams 4-3 in the last 32.
‘Gaga’ dropped just two sets as he ousted Alan Souter 4-1, then sensationally ousted world number one Kerwin Price 5-1 last night.
6.45 pm: The 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship features four players from four different countries, with the semi-finals starting in 55 minutes this evening.
Only one of those four knows what it’s like to be a world champion – three-time winner Michael van Gerwen, who started the event as the tournament favorite and has so far lived up to expectations.
Van Gerwen of the Netherlands faces first-round semi-finalist Dimitri van den Berg of Belgium in the second match, but Grand Slam champion Michael Smith takes on Germany’s Gabriel Clemens in the first.
6.25 pm: If you need a quick recap of last night’s extraordinary quarter-finals, here it is. First we saw Gabriel Clemens oust Kerwin Price 5-1. In an attempt to combat the taunts from the crowd, the Welshman dons a pair of headphones and blocks out the noise in scenes never before seen in Ochil! He later said on Instagram after the match that he would never play worlds again.

Following that play, Van Gerwen sent a warning to his fellow rivals by whitewashing Chris Tobey 5-0. We expect similar drama this evening!
